A. McCarty Baker

Bio:
Mc B studies stories. This practice began in earnest at age 8 when she saw her first Broadway Musical. She has BA's in English Language Literature, Ancient Civilizations and a notably odd interest in Geology and Physics--two additionally large and vastly encompasing bodies of story telling, at least to her way of thinking.

Mc B has found employment and passion in the following industries.  Fine Art and Commercial Photography, Film, Theatre, TV, Event Planning and Environmental Activism. She works with Writers and Producers now, mostly. But then there is HonuaOla! Check that out at www.honuaola.org.

Why I offer the apprenticeship studies:
This work has been transformational for me personally. I do not pretend to comprehend all of it. Most of it, yes. Though there is so much that has had a silent impact, unnoticed in its specifics. It feels like a body of work that could be studied over many decades and still be rich with new reveals to master/assimilate. Yet, even without rigorous study, important shifts in awareness occur daily.

Elizabeth “Alaya” Chadwick, M.S.W., M.Div.

Bio:
Alaya has been teaching the Divinity Apprenticeship since 2005 and was the first person given permission by Lesley to share the Divinity Apprenticeship.

Jennifer Donaldson

Bio:
I was born in Boston on August 17th, 1951, and grew up in NH. I was a good student, but dreamy & mystical. I loved singing, dancing, & writing poetry. I went to schools in Boston, and Washington DC, and then Harvard in 1969, but dropped out to learn pottery. (I needed the grounding of earth!) During the period of being a potter, I met my husband and became the mother of two children. Feeling my heart calling me to teach, I then attended the University of Southern Maine for Art Education. I taught art in the public schools for 14 years (very fun!).

In tune with the millennium, the energy of our life began to transform. In 1999 we moved to Vermont, where we now live on a sunny, peaceful mountainside. In this period I have immersed myself deeply in exploring my relationship to Divinity, and felt my heart being called to ministry. “When the student is ready, the teacher will come,” so I found the Apprenticeship. (which I still see as the most profound miracle of my life!) At the same time, I found a liberal open-minded seminary in NYC & received my ordination as an Interfaith Minister in 2006. Subsequently, I took the certification course to teach The Apprenticeship. Now my ministry, teaching, and creativity are flowing together in a beautiful way.

Why I offer the apprenticeship studies:
I love to teach, but even more, I love the Divine, so to teach the Apprenticeship to Divinity is the fulfillment of my soul’s greatest longing. This course in spiritual evolution is truly the elevator to soul consciousness, and continues to inspire and delight me in every day. Valerie has a background in instructing and public speaking and assists those desiring to initiate their remembering of the truth of the human experience that they gifted to themselves, so they may LIVE and CHOOSE their life experiences rather than exist in them. A grandmother now, Valerie instructs by utilizing her studies over the past 34 years, and credits her open-minded approach to the traveling, living, and integrating into many communities and with a wide variety of peoples.

Jaye Newman

Bio:
For over 25 years I have studied and mentored in the extraordinary adventure of development of conscious awareness. I am thrilled that my students and clients range in age from small children to individuals in their 90’s. This offers such a variety of perspectives to learn from and to pass forward.
I was an early advocate of Dr. Upledger’s therapeutic research through which I learned Cranio Sacral Therapy. I find that progressive approaches to wellness such as Cranio Sacral and Energetic Cellular Nurturance have a stronger ability to connect us to all of the levels of our being, thereby promoting a greater wholeness.

Why I offer the apprenticeship studies:
I was lead to this body of understanding and to teach it because of what it is. It’s aligned with everything that is happening on the planet right now. I love to see people grow. The teaching itself is exciting, it’s fun because it’s constantly changing and growing, just like we are. Being privileged to witness the power within others and their ability to discover that personal strength is amazing fun.

As a presenter of the apprenticeship, I will do everything that I can to help you ground, live, and be the Divinity that you are. For those of you in New Zealand and Australia, I am offering a group Apprenticeship in Auckland and Sydney. This apprenticeship meets over 3 two day weekends. The 2008 group apprenticeship is currently scheduled for March, May and October weekends. Individual apprenticeships are also available.

Anita Walling

Bio:
I have been focused on my personal and spiritual growth for over 30 years, continually peeling back the layers and opening to greater joy and the awareness of non-ordinary reality. I have experience of various forms of cognitive therapy, breathing and meditation, body awareness and movement and vibrational healing. I love applying what I have learned (and continue to learn) to the experiences of my life, relationships and livelihood issues.

I have grown to deeply love these teachings. Each time I revisit the classes I find new inspiration and support for remembering who I truly am. I love the balance of the message of joy, simplicity, love, of the divinity that we all are, with the reminders of my responsibility to be fully conscious and compassionate with all of myself especially the parts I don’t like or fear the most.
